December 11, 2023, Columbus, Georgia – St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School is pleased to announce the hiring of Robert Lenz as its new Lady Vikings Softball Coach.


“Pacelli will add softball to its sports offerings for girls in grades 6-12, beginning in the 2024-2025 school year,” said Athletic Director Corry Black. “We are pleased to have Lenz lead the rebirth of this program at Pacelli. I am confident in his coaching experience, dedication, and commitment.”


About Head Lady Vikings Softball Coach Robert Lenz

A native of Columbus, Ga., Robert Lenz graduated from Shaw High School where he was part of the school’s state championship football team. He became interested in softball after watching his daughters play the game. For the past three years, he has coached girls ages 12-18 in local competitive travel softball leagues.


“Growing up, I was taught the importance of self-discipline, character, loyalty, and humility,” Lenz said. “I hope to help Pacelli build a winning softball program - on and off the field - by instilling these very same values in our student-athletes to help them reach their full potential in life after sports.”


Girls going into grades 6-12 in the 2024-2025 school year who are interested in softball and their parents are invited to meet Lenz and learn more about the program he will lead during an interest meeting to be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 3 PM in The Beck Center for Academic and Athletic Success located at 1801 Box Road, Columbus, GA 31907.
