St. Anne-Pacelli Cross Country Team Shines at OrthoWest Invitational

In an exhilarating display of athleticism and determination, the St. Anne-Pacelli cross country team left an indelible mark at the OrthoWest Invitational held at Carrollton High School this past weekend. With remarkable performances by its top runners, the team showcased its mettle against strong competition.

Adda Helmers, a standout among the female runners, made her presence felt by securing the 9th position overall. Her exceptional performance earned her the distinction of being the sole medalist for the St. Anne-Pacelli team. Helmers displayed remarkable speed, completing the challenging course with an impressive time of 19:30. Her dedication and hard work have undoubtedly set a high bar for the team's future endeavors.

On the men's side, Kai Christie emerged as the top performer for St. Anne-Pacelli, securing the 48th position overall. What makes Kai's achievement even more remarkable is the fact that he achieved a personal record (PR) on a demanding course, shaving precious seconds off his previous time. Going from 19:28 to an astounding 19:19, Kai's tenacity and improvement reflect the essence of cross country running – the constant pursuit of self-betterment.

Sean Brannon also left a lasting impression with his commendable performance. He managed to achieve a PR by significantly reducing his time from 23:09 to a remarkable 22:10. Sean's dedication to the sport and his pursuit of excellence were on full display at the OrthoWest Invitational, inspiring his teammates and coaches alike.
