McKenzie Grier
As certified health care professionals, Athletic Trainers are champions in providing invaluable, patient-focused injury prevention, clinical care, recovery and rehabilitation to help everyone return to work, life and sport.
McKenzie Grier is a BOC certified and Georgia licensed Athletic Trainer. She was born and raised in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She graduated from Fort Walton Beach High School where she played soccer and was a member of many clubs.
After high school, McKenzie earned her bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Troy University. Before pursuing her graduate degree, she did an internship with Virginia Tech where she worked with women’s basketball, men's basketball and tackle football. She then went on to become an Athletic Training Fellow through the Hughston Foundation in Columbus, Georgia, while she simultaneously worked to achieve her master's degree in Kinesiology through the University of North Georgia.
McKenzie joined the Viking family in 2018. She then went on to serve as a Military Athletic Trainer on Ft. Benning. After serving the military population for three years she came back to Pacelli. “The part of my day I look forward to the most is educating students here," McKenzie said. "It’s always fun to challenge them and show them new ways of thinking and caring for their mind and body. These kids are my why.”
