Jaime Cook

St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School is excited to announce the hiring of a new coach for its high school varsity cheerleading program! Jaime Cook is coming to Pacelli from Aaron Cohn Middle School in Columbus, Ga., where she has served as an English teacher and head cheerleading coach for the past six years. In addition to coaching Pacelli’s varsity cheer squad, Cook will teach Language Arts and Literature to 6th graders at St. Anne-Pacelli beginning in the 2023-2024 school year.

A competitive and spirit cheerleader for most of her life, Cook was selected to be a part of the Allstate Cheerleading Team as one of the top 16 cheerleaders in the state of Georgia during her senior year at Northside High School.

“Our varsity cheer program will be the support group for all areas of our school. We will promote school spirit, encourage a culture of excellence, and build on the feeling of family at St. Anne-Pacelli,” Cook said. “Our cheerleaders will promote traditions or even start new traditions that bring the whole school together. It is my hope that this program will also help our cheerleaders develop qualities that will enable them to achieve success in all future endeavors.”

“I am thrilled that Coach Cook said yes to serving as Pacelli’s varsity cheerleading coach,” said St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School Athletic Director Corry Black. “She brings a tremendous amount of experience and passion to our program, and I know our students will benefit from her leadership.”

Cook and her husband, Jeffrey, a firefighter, have two sons: 4-year-old Jimmy and 1-year-old Jack. Jimmy will also join the Viking family next school year, as a Pre-K4 student.

Haley Kirkman, who cheered with Cook at Northside High School and has coached at United Cheerleading, will serve as Cook's varsity cheer coach assistant.
