In a promising kick-off to their season, the Pacelli Vikings wrestling team showcased their prowess at the Wildstyle Duals in Villa Rica. Despite a challenging start against Tournament Champions Newnan, the Vikings rallied with victories over Greenbriar, Villa Rica, and River Ridge.

Among the standout performances was Junior Nicholas Nugent, leading the charge with four first-period pins, accumulating an impressive 24 points. The entire team demonstrated strength and determination, with all 18 Viking wrestlers securing wins over the weekend.

Noteworthy achievements include Sophia Chervenak's second-place finish in a highly competitive women's division. In the girls' traditional tournament, Chervenak exhibited skill and resilience, securing two pins against ranked opponents before a closely contested 2-0 decision in the finals.

The returning wrestlers exhibited significant improvement from the previous season, contributing to the team's success. Newcomers also made an immediate impact, reinforcing the team's overall depth and potential.
