Adda Helmers Shines, Sets Records at Deerfield-Windsor Invitational 2023

In a thrilling display of athleticism and determination, the Deerfield-Windsor Invitational 2023 showcased exceptional talent from both the girls' and boys' teams. Amidst the sea of runners, Adda Helmers emerged as the shining star, while the boys' team demonstrated remarkable progress with numerous personal records (PRs).

**Girls Results:**

Adda Helmers, the standout performer of the day, left spectators in awe as she clinched the 1st place overall among 127 formidable competitors. Her performance was nothing short of exceptional, as she not only achieved a PR with a blazing time of 17:52 but also shattered a course record. Not stopping there, Adda set a new school record for St. Anne-Pacelli and now boasts the fastest time in Georgia, establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with in the world of cross-country.

Paige Koller also showcased her prowess by securing the 3rd place overall. Her personal record of 19:29 demonstrated her dedication and improvement over time.

Sohia Chervenak, Lucy Shaw, and Rebecca Baker also had their moments to shine, each achieving personal records. Sohia crossed the finish line with a time of 25:13, Lucy with 29:35, and Rebecca Baker impressively completed her first 5k with a time of 25:28, showing tremendous potential for the future.

**Boys Results:**

The boys' team put up a solid performance as well, with Kai Christie leading the way by securing the 27th place overall among a competitive field of 234 runners. Kai showcased his determination and improvement with a PR of 18:09, making his presence felt.

Sean Brannon, Dillon Brannon, Sebastian Lynch, Jaiden Roberson, Holden Sanders, Derek Johnson, and Henry Blickhahn all achieved personal records, underlining the dedication and progress they've made. Sean recorded a time of 19:27, Dillon at 19:44, Sebastian at 20:20, Jaiden at 20:39, Holden at 21:17, Derek at 21:56, and Henry at 27:11.

The Deerfield-Windsor Invitational 2023 was a day of triumphs and personal bests, highlighting the incredible talent and hard work of these young athletes. With Adda Helmers setting new records and the boys' team displaying remarkable growth, the future looks promising for Deerfield-Windsor's cross-country program.
