Corry Black

Corry Black is the athletic director and head basketball coach at St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School. He started coaching the boys’ varsity Vikings Basketball Team in the 2017-2018 school year, when the Vikings’ record was 0-22. In 2021, the Vikings Basketball Team celebrated an historic season, winning the region and advancing to the Elite 8 in the GHSA state playoffs with an 18-4 record. In 2021, Black was named region Coach of the Year. In 2023, his team advanced to the Final Four and Coach Black was named GIAA Athletic Director of the Year.

Coach Black is known for his 1% better mentality, emphasizing the importance of being dedicated to making small changes and improvements every day, with the expectation that those small improvements will add up to something significant. During his career, he has been an assistant basketball coach at Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Phenix City, Ala. (2008-2009), Columbus State University in Columbus, Ga. (2004-2008) and Southern Union State Community College in Wadley, Ala. (2000-2002). In addition, he operates CBHoops, a scouting company that connects players to coaches and coaches to players.
